Here are some fun things to do in Washington County this weekend…
Trains for everyone
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Saturday and Sunday 1 to 5 pm
WHERE: Hagerstown Roundhouse Museum, 300 S Burhans Blvd, Hagerstown
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: Displays include HO scale model railroad, trains for the kids to operate, historic railroad equipment, artifacts and photos.
COST: Tickets are $4; .50 cents for ages 4 to 12; free for ages 3 and younger.

Youth Fishing Rodeo
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Saturday from 9 am to Noon.
WHERE: Fort Frederick State Park’s Beaver Pond, 11100 Fort Frederick Rd, Big Pool
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: Space is limited to 30 participants and registration is required. Each participant must be accompanied by an adult older than 18 and bring their own bait and tackle. For children ages 15 and younger.
COST: Free but you MUST register. Rain date is Saturday, April 7

History of Firefighting in Washington County
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Saturday from 1 to 3 pm and additional days and times thur the end of April
WHERE: Miller House, 135 W. Washington St, Hagerstown, MD
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: An exhibit of old firefighting equipment of the city and county fire companies, photos of historic fires in Hagerstown and other locations will be open this Saturday from 1 to 3 pm at the Miller House in Hagerstown. This is a preview of artifacts that will become part of the firefighting museum in Hagerstown.
The Miller house is also open for tours, starting next week, on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 1 to 4 pm. This exhibit is scheduled to be in place throughout April. The Miller House will be closed on Good Friday.
COST: Admission is $3 to $5

Potatoes for Kids
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Saturday, 1 t o 4 pm
WHERE: Washington County Rural Heritage Museum, 7103 Sharpsburg Pike, Boonsboro, MD 21713.
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: Master Gardens will discuss how to grow potatoes and there will be a potato craft for children
COST: This event is free and open to the public

Love Above All Else
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Saturday 2 pm
WHERE: Discovery Station, 101 W Washington St, Downtown Hagerstown
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: Paul Swartz will discuss and sign his book “Love Above All Else”
COST: Free with paid admission of $5 to $7, free for ages 3 and younger
