Living History Artillery Weekend
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Saturday  and Sunday- various times
WHERE: Antietam Battlefield Sharpsburg Pike, Sharpsburg
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: Living History volunteers portraying Col. Stephen D. Lee’s Battalion will discuss the role of artillery at Antietam. There will be an artillery evening program on Civil War Artillery followed by a cannon firing demonstrations at 8:15 pm at the New York State Monument. Bring something to sit on and a flashlight

Rohersville Strawberry Fest
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Saturday and Sunday 9 am to 5 pm
WHERE: Rohrersville Ruritan Park, Rohrersvulle School Road, Roheresville
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: Craft vendors, yard sale, music by Rohersville Band on Saturday and church service followed by a concert by The Heaveners Sunday and a Garden tractor pull on Sunday

Western Maryland Rail Trail Guided Bicycle Tour
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Saturday 9 am
WHERE: Meet at C&O Canal Bicycle Shop, 9 S Pennsylvania Ave, Hancock
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: Learn about the role the Western Maryland Railroad played in the region during this guide bike tour. Must bring own equipment and supplies
   
Community Festival
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Saturday 9 am to 8 pm
WHERE: Widmeyer Park, Park Road, Hancock.
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: Planned activities include low-cost games, free field competitions, cake walks, raffles, music, food, community yard sale, craft vendors and home party consultants, live music from 2 to 8 pm.

Scoops & Wickets Family Fun Day
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Saturday 9:30 am to 1pm
WHERE: Brook Lane campus, 13218 Brook Lane Road, off the Leitersburg Smithsburg Rd, Hagerstown.
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: Some of the planned activities are children’s games, petting zoo, inflatables, face painting, clown making balloon sculptures, learning canopies, croquet and bocce ball, food concessions, homemade ice cream and more.

 

Open to ages 1 to 12 and their parents, this event is free.

Asian Martial Arts Festival
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Saturday from noon to 4 pm
WHERE: YMCA 1100 Eastern Blvd. Hagerstown
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: Local martial arts schools that teach martial arts including aikido, laido, karate, kobudo, judo, tai chai and more
COST: Free

Dukes Family Night at Speedway
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Saturday Gates open at 3 pm, Meet Jones from 4 to 7 and Racing begins at 7 pm.
WHERE: Hagerstown Speedway, 15112 National Pike, Hagerstown, west of Hagerstown.
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: Dukes Family Night at the Hagerstown Speedway

 

Ben Jones, “Cooter Davenport” from Dukes of Hazzard will be at the Hagerstown Speedway this Saturday evening. Mr. Jones will be signing autographs and available for pictures, rain or shine, prior to the race. The racing will begin with warm ups racing begins at 7:30 pm with the 17th annual Richard “Boney” Bonebrake Tribute, which is a 30-lap Steel Block Bandit event. There will be a spate feature for the Steel Block Bandits starting with time trials and heats. Also on the schedule are the Hobby stocks and Pure Stocks.

Pen Mar Park Concert
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Sunday 2 to 5 pm
WHERE: Pen Mar Park, off Pen Mar High Rock Road, Cascade
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: The Headliners will perform ballroom music
