Trains for Everyone
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Friday, Saturday and Sunday 1 to 5 pm
WHERE: Hagerstown Roundhouse Museum, 300 S Burhans Blvd Hagerstown.
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: Displays include HO scale model railroad, trains for kids to operate, historic railroad equipment, artifacts and photos
COST: Admission is $4 50 cents for ages 4 to 12 and free for ages 3 and younger ,

Canal Boat Tours
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Saturdays and Sundays 10:30 am, 12:15, 1:30 and 3 pm through summer
WHERE: C&O Canal Williamsport Visitor Center, 205 W Potomac St Williamsport
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: The Chesapeake and Ohio National Historical Park offers canal launch boat tours from Cushwa Basin to Lock 44
COST: Admission free, first come, first serve

Life as a Canawler
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Friday, Saturday and Sunday 11 am to 2 pm
WHERE: Ferry Hill Place, MD 34 near Sharpsburg on Maryland Side of the Shepherdstown  Bridge
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: The character of Mary Bender of Sharpsburg will discuss her life as a canawler, working on living on the C&O Canal in 1915

Signal Crops Weekend
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Saturday and Sunday 11 am – 5 pm
WHERE: Pry House Field Hospital Museum and Antietam National Battlefield
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: Live signaling demonstrations at Pry House and talks at the Battlefield. The 114th Signal Battalion, Ft Detrick may join with a display, talks and demonstrates of modern signal communication

Crack of the Bat
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Saturday 10 am
WHERE: Discovery Station, 101 W Washington St , Hagerstown
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: Take me out to the Ballgame event. Highlights include local and national baseball, past and current, Leo Burke, 1952 graduate of Hagerstown High School, and a pro ball player in Chicago and Baltimore and two Hagerstown Suns players are scheduled to attend the ribbon cutting.
COST: Free admission for the ribbon cutting. Regular admission to the museum is $5 to $7.

Cemetery Tours
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Saturdays in August at 7 pm
WHERE: Antietam National Cemetery
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: Tours will be led by historian John Schildt

Free Movie
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Saturday at 7 pm
WHERE: Bridge of Life Church , S Potomac St Downtown Hagerstown
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: The movie is  “Hugo”.

Set in 1930s Paris, an orphan who lives in the walls of a train station is wrapped up in a mystery involving his late father and an automaton.

Come and enjoy the movie along with free popcorn and drink.


All movies are shown on a large projection screen with high quality sound in the old Maryland historic theater located in downtown Hagerstown right off the square.  Rated PG
