WHAT YOU’LL SEE: To celebrate their 61st anniversary, Turner Bowling Centers are offering 61 cent bowling game. You can bowl up to 3 games per person unless there is a waiting list.

 

They will also have hot dogs or 16 oz  coca-colas for 61 cents each.

Trains for Everyone
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Friday, Saturday and Sunday 1 to 5 pm
WHERE: Hagerstown Roundhouse Museum, 300 S Burhans Blvd Hagerstown.
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: Displays include HO scale model railroad, trains for kids to operate, historic railroad equipment, artifacts and photos

Before the Storm
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Saturday and Sunday 10 am  to 3 pm
WHERE: Antietam National Battlefield
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: Living History Volunteers will show what life was like right before the Battle of Antietam. Volunteers portraying Parker’s Battery and the Confederate Military Forces will take the field to demonstrate the loading and firing of cannons and muskets.
COST: $6 per vehicle or $4 per person

Canal Boat Tours
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Saturdays and Sundays 10:30 am, 12:15, 1:30 and 3 pm through summer
WHERE: C&O Canal Williamsport Visitor Center, 205 W Potomac St Williamsport
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: The Chesapeake and Ohio National Historical Park offers canal launch boat tours from Cushwa Basin to Lock 44
COST: Admission free, first come, first serve

Leitersburg Peach Festival
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Saturday  10 am to 5 pm and Sunday noon to 5 pm
WHERE: Leitersurg Ruritan Community Park, Leitersburg behind Leitersburg Fire Hall
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: Fresh peaches, peach pies, peach ice cream, food, crafts, petting zoo, antique tractors, children’s barrel rides, peach pie contest, pony rides and more.
COST: Free admission
 
Community Free for all
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Saturday 10 am to noon
WHERE: St John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church’s courtyard, 141 S Potomac St, downtown Hagerstown.
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: Here is your chance to get free stuff and listen to free music. Bring usable items such as garden produce, clothing, toys, books, household items or anything to give away. Everything must be offered at no charge. Music will be provided by singer-songwriter Dean Brocious, percussion Marlin Barnes and vocalist Kim Tantillo and others. Co sponsored by Unitarian Universalist Church of Hagerstown and St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church

Trembling in the Balance : The C& O Canal during the Civil War
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Saturday 2 pm
WHERE: Discovery Station, 101 W Washington St , Hagerstown
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: Part of the Saturday Plus program, Civil War Historian Timothy R Snyder will present his book “Trembling in the Balance: The Chesapeake and Ohio Canal during the Civil Wrt” Book signing to follow

Law Enforcement Awareness Day
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Saturday 3 pm
WHERE: Hagerstown Speedway, 15112 National Pike, Hagerstown
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: Activities include prescription drug turn in program by the Washington County Sheriff Department, the Maryland Child Identification program by the Grand Lodge of Maryland A.F. & A.M., the DUI simulation program sponsored by the Hagerstown Police Department, the seat belt simulator sponsored by the Maryland State Police 3 pm, Trooper 3 Medevac helicopter display from 4 to 6 pm Racing begins at 7 pm
COST: $15 general admission to the racing, activities are free
