Trains for Everyone
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Friday, Saturday and Sunday 1 to 5 pm
WHERE: Hagerstown Roundhouse Museum, 300 S Burhans Blvd Hagerstown.
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: Displays include HO scale model railroad, trains for kids to operate, historic railroad equipment, artifacts and photos
COST: Admission is $4 50 cents for ages 4 to 12 and free for ages 3 and younger

Hagerstown Corn Maze
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Saturday from Noon to 10 pm, and Sundays (noon to 5 pm thur October
WHERE: Celebration Farm, 17638 Garden View Rd, Hagerstown.
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: This year they have 3 mazes – Heart of the Civil War, Hagerstown Suns, and Home Run the Movie. Don’t forget to bring a flashlight for the moonlight mazes. All profits are donated to local faith-based non profits.
COST: Cost is $6, $3 for ages 5 to 12, and free for children 4 and younger.

Hills of Horror
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Saturdays  in October 8 pm to 11pm
WHERE: Happy Hills Campground, 12617 Seavolt Rd, Hancock, MD
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: Barn of Endless Souls & Forbidden Forest. Also has a Children’s maze with adult supervision, Free hot chocolate or coffee, hot food available to purchase and entertainment by live DJ.

Public Star Party
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Friday Sunset to 11 pm
WHERE: Antietam Battlefield, off Sharpburg Pike, Sharpsburg
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: The Tri-State Astronomers will host a free public start party. Telescopes will be set up near the visitor’s center parking lot for a viewing of the fall night sky. There will also be laser guided sky tours of various stars and constellations.  Event will be cancelled if sky is cloudy.

Living History Day at Rural Heritage Museum
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Saturday  10 am to 5pm
WHERE: Rural Heritage Museum, 7313 Sharpsburg Pike, Boonsboro, MD
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: History comes alive this Saturday at the Rural Heritage Museum.  You can experience what life was like in Washington County from the early to mid 1800’s . There will be demonstrations and special children activities and a period food you can purchase. They are also going to have a Flea Circus and a Traveling Medicine Show.
COST: Free admission but donations are welcomed.

AAUW Fall Used Book Sale
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Thursday, Friday 9 am to 8 pm and Saturday  9 am to 3 pm
WHERE: ARC of Washington County on 1000 Florida Ave.
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: You can never have too many books! So be sure to check out the AAUW Annual Fall Used Book Sale this weekend. They have great bargains in all categories and a nice selection of DVD’s, VCR’s and tapes. Saturday is my favorite day,  half price day

Pennsylvania Dutch Market Fall Fest
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Friday 9 to 7 pm and Saturday 8 to 4 pm
WHERE: Pennsylvania Dutch Market, Long Meadow Shopping Center, 1538 Potomac Ave, Hagerstown
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: Join all the fun this weekend. They are also having a Pig and Ox Roast, homemade potato chips, applesauce, crab cakes, cotton candy, funnel cakes, sweet potato and Broadwalk fries and more

Open Airplane Afternoon
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Saturday from 1 to 4 pm
WHERE: Hagerstown Aircraft Services, 14235 Oak Springs Rd, near the Hagerstown Regional Airport
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: A display of vintage airplanes made in Hagerstown including World War II era planes
COST: Free admission; donation requested to support Hagerstown Aviation Museum

Field of Terrors
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Fridays and Saturday from 7 to 11 pm from October 12 through October 20.
WHERE: Star Community Inc is located 13672 Greencastle Pike, Hagerstown.
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: Star Community Inc is proud to present “Field of Terrors”

They have 2 fields to choose from and they might not be suited for young child.

COST: Tickets are $6 per field or $10 for a combined tickets or $15 for a VIP ticket which gets you moved to the front of the line.

Williamsport Haunted Walks
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Monday, Wednesday, Friday at 7 pm until October 31st
WHERE: Williamsport Town Hall, corner of E Salisbury and North Conococheague St, Williamsport
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: Explore the haunting history and paranormal happening in the town of Williamsport
COST Tickets: $5 – Adults; children 8 years and under are free, must be accompanied by paying adult – please use discretion with children.

Sharpsburg Ghost Tours
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Thursday through Nov 1 between 6:30 – 7
WHERE: Meet at Capitian Benders, downtown Sharpsburg
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: Stroll through downtown Sharpsburg and listen to ghost tales. Portion to benefit Sharpsburg Heritage Festival.
COST: Tickets are $10 and reservation requested

Ghost Tours of Hagerstown
WHEN and WHAT TIME: .Friday, October 26 th evening
WHERE: Potomac Walkway outside Bulls and Bears Restaurant, 38 S Potomac St, Hagerstown.
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: Walking tours will be held at 7 and 8 pm and will cost $3 for adults; children age 6 to 12 is $1 and ages 5 & under are free.

Or you can take a Hay Ride tour at 7, 8 and 9 pm. Cost is $6 per seat.

Light refreshments will be provided by Bulls and Bears.

COST: Reservations and advanced payment are required for all tours.
