Christmas Trains for Everyone
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Friday, Saturday and Sunday 1 to 5 pm
WHERE: Hagerstown Roundhouse Museum, 300 S Burhans Blvd Hagerstown.
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: Christmas O gauge display will open this weekend Displays include HO scale model railroad, trains for kids to operate, historic railroad equipment, artifacts and photos
COST: Admission is $4;  50 cents for ages 4 to 12 and free for ages 3 and younger

Rural Heritage Village by Candle Light Tour
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Friday 6 to 9pm
WHERE: Washington County Rural Heritage Museum, 7313 Sharpsburg Pike

South of Hagerstown

WHAT YOU’LL SEE: Ring in Christmas 1876 style, this Friday from 6 to 9 pm, at Washington County Rural Heritage Museum. Visitors will listen to storytellers, learn holiday customs, sing carols, and see traditions from early Washington County settlers and period decorations. This is an outdoor event so be sure to dress warmly.
COST: Tickets are $10 per family or $5 for single

Williamsport Christmas Parade and Bryon Park lighting
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Friday 7 pm
WHERE: Downtown Williamsport
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: It is that time again – the annual Williamsport Christmas Parade will be held this Friday, November 30th at 7 pm. The Parade will run from the Water Tower on Conococheague Street to Potomac St and will end at the Bryon Memorial Park with the lighting of the Christmas lights in the Park.

The Lights come on at City Park
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Friday at 7 pm
WHERE: City Park
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: City Park will be the place to be this Friday event as the City of Hagerstown lights up the park with Christmas joy. The event will run from 7 to 9 pm with the tree lighting at 7 pm with activities at the Washington County Museum of Fine Arts, Manson House and Hager House as well.

“Almost Maine”
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Friday at 7:30 pm
WHERE: Boonsboro High School, 10 Campus Ave, Boonsboro
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: Boonsboro High School Drama presents the romantic comedy “Almost Maine” In a town called Almost, Maine, the meaning of love, in all of its beautiful and sometimes troubling ways is addressed

Ferris Bueller’s Day Off – the musical
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Friday at 8 pm, Saturday and Sunday at 2 pm
WHERE: The Academy Theater, 58 E Washington St, downtown Hagerstown
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: Hagerstown Children Theater will presents “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off”

2012 Holiday Spectacular featuring Yes Virginia and a whole lot more
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Saturday and Sunday 2:30 pm
WHERE: Maryland Theatre, downtown Hagerstown
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: Barbara Ingram School for the Arts students will present the holiday favorite “Yes, Virginia” and other artistic performances in their annual holiday showcase.

Reindeer in the Rafters – Charlie Brown Christmas
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Saturday and Sunday 3 to 8 pm and Tuesday from noon to 5 pm and Dec 8 and 9th
WHERE: Springfield Barn off US Rt 11, Williamsport.
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: Springfield Barn will be decked out in its finest this weekend their annual Charlie Brown Christmas – This year’s theme is Reindeer in the Rafters. There will be decorated trees, visits with Santa and Buster the talking bear, plus music, train display, Reindeer in the Rafters and a free horse-drawn wagon ride.

Christmas fun in Smithsburg
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Saturday
WHERE: Smithsburg
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: Get in the Holiday spirit with a day of Christmas Cheer


Start with Breakfast with Santa at the Smithsburg Volunteer Fire Company, 22 N Main St from 7 to 10 am Make sure you bring your camera since Santa will be available for pictures. Tickets are $7 for adults, $6 for seniors, $5 for children ages 6 to 12, children 5 and younger are free with a paying adult.


You can get some Christmas shopping done at the Hometown Christmas Celebration at Trinity Lutheran Church – they will have a cookie sale, Christmas bazaar, gingerbread demonstrations, crafts fir children, live music and a living nativity at 1 pm. Then at Noon the Hometown Christmas Parade will march thru town.


And end the day with a Children Holiday’s Party from 4:30 to 7 pm at the Smithsburg Volunteer Fire Company, 22 N Main St. This party is free and children must be accompanied by an adult.

WHEN and WHAT TIME: Dec 1 and 8 10:30 am to noon
WHERE: The Academy Theater 58 W Washington St Hagerstown MD
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: Come have breakfast with Santa, Frosty and Rudolph. In addition to breakfast they will have other holiday activites for kids. Children must attend with one parent or responsible adult
COST: Cost is $10 for adult, $5 for children and children younger than 2 are free

Antietam National Battlefield Memorial Illumination
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Saturday 6 pm
WHERE: Antietam Battlefield.
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: Volunteers will place and light over 23,000 candles on the battlefield to representing the casualty from the bloodiest single day battle in American History. The tour starts on Rt 34 east of Sharpsburg. In case of inclement weather, call 301-733-7373.

Holiday Open House Celebration
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Saturday 1 to 4 pm
WHERE: Rural Heritage Museum, 7313 Sharpsburg Pike, South of Hagerstown
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: The Museum will host their annual Open house with special holiday decorations on display, a children’s workshop and craft area to create and take home, artisan bread tasting activity, tours (weather permitting), visits with Santa Claus in his authentic sleigh(bring your own camera), and light refreshments. The Gift shop will be open with many new local artisan holiday items available to purchase for gift giving.
COST: Free with donations accepted

Mountaintop Community tree lighting and fun with Santa
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Saturday 3 to 5 m
WHERE: Fort Ritchie Community Center, 14421 Lake Royer Drive, Cascade.
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: A large evergreen tree on the east end of the Fort Ritchie parade field will be decorated with lights. There will also be children’s games, activities for multiple age groups with prizes, music by students of Cascade Elementary School. Santa will be available for photos and to hear “wishes” from children.
COST: The event is free and open to the public.

Rohrersville Band’s Annual Christmas Concert
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Sunday at 3 pm
WHERE: Rohrersville Band Hall, Rohrersville
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: This 75 year old band will present their annual Christmas Concert
