Here are some fun things to do in Washington County this weekend…

Christmas Trains for Everyone
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Friday, Saturday and Sunday 1 to 5 pm
WHERE: Hagerstown Roundhouse Museum, 300 S Burhans Blvd Hagerstown.
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: Christmas O gauge display will open this weekend Displays include HO scale model railroad, trains for kids to operate, historic railroad equipment, artifacts and photos
COST: Admission is $4;  50 cents for ages 4 to 12 and free for ages 3 and younger

Olde Tyme Christmas in Funkstown
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Friday at 6 pm
WHERE: In Funkstown
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: This Annual event will be held this Friday beginning with a Yule Log bonfire at 6 pm. Other planned activities are music and visits with Santa at Town Hall, wagon rides and music at St Paul’s Church, living nativity in the park, shopping at the stores in town. Raffles will begin at 6 pm with raffle and contest winners being announced at Town Hall at 8:30pm.

Olde Tyme Christmas in Boonsboro
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Friday 6:30 pm
WHERE: Shafer Park Pavilion No 4
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: Santa is coming to town This Friday at 6:30 pm, in style, on a fire truck with a small parade ending at Pavilion No.4 in Shafer Park where the mayor will light the Park Christmas Tree. Santa will available for pictures until 8:30 pm so bring your camera. The park will also be decorated with lights and luminaries.
COST: Free
Community Children’s Christmas Party
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Friday 6 to 8:30 pm
WHERE: Hilltop Christian Fellowship, 12624 Trinity Church Drive, Clear Spring
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: They will be food, games, Santa Claus and a puppet show for children
COST: Free

Currier and Ives Christmas in Clear Spring
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Saturday from 2 to 11 pm
WHERE: Plumb Grove Mansion is located on Broadfording Rd in Clear Spring.
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: Come and get in the Christmas spirit while you tour the decorated in 19th century style. The mansion boasts 12 rooms decorated in Currier and Ives fashion.
COST: A $5 donation is requested per person.

Living Nativity
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Saturday 7 and 8 pm
WHERE: Emmanuel United Methodist Church, 802 Summit Ave, Hagerstown
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: Emmanuel United Methodist Church will host a live nativity at 7 and 8 pm this Saturday. They will have costumed characters, music and narrations the Christmas story is revealed through the eyes of Mary, Joseph, the Innkeeper, shepherds, angels and the crowd.
COST: The event is free

Reindeer in the Rafters – Charlie Brown Christmas
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Saturday and Sunday 3 to 8 pm
WHERE: Springfield Barn off US Rt 11, Williamsport.
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: Springfield Barn will be decked out in its finest this weekend their annual Charlie Brown Christmas – This year’s theme is Reindeer in the Rafters. There will be decorated trees, visits with Santa and Buster the talking bear, plus music, train display, Reindeer in the Rafters and a free horse-drawn wagon ride.

Holiday Magic
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Saturday 2pm
WHERE: Discovery Station, 101 W Washington St, Hagerstown
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: Dean Burkett, “Mr. Magic” will present Holiday Magic.
COST: Program is free with admission Tickets: $$7 adults; $5 seniors (over 55) and military, Ages 4-17 $6

Free Movie
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Saturday 7 pm
WHERE: Bridge of Life,  Potomac St, Downtown Hagerstown
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: This week’s movie is  “Men In Black 3″Agent J travels in time to MIB’s early years in the 1960s, to stop an alien from assassinating his friend Agent K and changing history.

All movies are shown on a large projection screen with high quality sound in the old Maryland historic theater located in downtown Hagerstown right off the square.  Rated PG-13  Free popcorn and drink too

Christmas Traditions and Stars
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Tuesdays at 7 pm through December 18
WHERE: Washington County Board of Education, 820 Commonwealth Ave, Hagerstown
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: ‘Tis the Season is the theme of this month’s program at the William Brish Planetarium. During this program they will examine many of the seasonal customs based on light, as well as winter holiday traditions, including Yule, greenery, Santa and the Christmas Star.

The Planetarium is located at the. If schools are closed or dismissed early, the planetarium will be closed.

COST: Tickets are $3 for adults, $2 for students and children, free for seniors citizens with a Gold Car from Washington County Public Schools. Families will pay a maximum of $10.
