Here are some fun things to do in Washington County this weekend…

Trains for Everyone
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Friday, Saturday and Sunday 1 to 5 pm
WHERE: Hagerstown Roundhouse Museum, 300 S Burhans Blvd Hagerstown.
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: Displays include HO scale model railroad, trains for kids to operate, historic railroad equipment, artifacts and photos
COST: Admission is $4;  50 cents for ages 4 to 12 and free for ages 3 and younger

Easter Bunny visits
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Bunny hours are Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. through Saturday, March 30.
WHERE: Valley Mall
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: The Easter Bunny is hanging out  at Center Court at Valley Mall. Each child visiting the Bunny will receive an Easter coloring storybook.
COST: Free to see the Easter Bunny but pictures are extra
 
Farm at the Mall
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Friday – Sunday
WHERE: Valley Mall
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: Expose the kids to the Washington County Ag Expo and Fair early during Ag Weekend at the Valley Mall. Event starts Friday, March 15. See displays of events, businesses and activities offered by the Washington County Ag Expo and Fair. Daily activities include hands-on kids’ learning activities, kids’ crafts, egg hatching and more. Highlights include cake and pie contest and auction, 6 to 7:30 p.m. Friday; petting farm, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., music by country artist Jeremy Staubus, 12:30 p.m., kids pedal pull, 7 p.m., all Saturday, March 16; and music by country artist Lindsey Erin, noon, and bluegrass by Fertile Soil, 3 p.m., all Sunday, March 17.
COST: Free admission
 
Cinderella
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Friday at 7:30 pm and Saturday at 2 and 7:30 pm
WHERE: Academy Theater, 58 E Washington St, Hagerstown
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: St Maria Goretti High School’s drama club and thespian troupe, the Goretti Players and Cumber Valley School of Music, will present the musical “Cinderella”  The Rodgers and Hammerstein musical is a retelling of the classic fairytale.
COST: $12

Lions Club Minstrel and Variety Show
WHEN and WHAT TIME: 6:30 p.m. pre-show; 7:30 p.m. show Friday, March 15, and Saturday, March 16; 1 p.m. pre-show; 2 p.m. show Sunday, March 17
WHERE: . Clear Spring High School’s auditorium, 12630 Broadfording Road, Clear Spring
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: It’s a weekend of skits, songs and laughs at the Clear Spring Lions Club Minstrel and Variety Show. Clear Spring Lions Club will present its 62nd annual minstrel and variety show. The family show will include comedy, soloists, duets and 40-plus chorus and skits. Tri-State Band will provide pre-show entertainment one hour prior to each show.
COST: Tickets are $6; $4 for students; free for preschoolers.

         Paint the City Market Purple
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Saturday 9 am – 11:30 am
WHERE: Hagerstown City Farmers Market, 25 W Church St, Hagerstown
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: Come out and join the American Cancer Society and Relay For Life of Washington County as they Paint the City Market Purple. They will be on hand to share information about the programs the American Cancer Society has available for cancer survivors and caregivers, details about our Relay For Life event on June 14-15, 2013, Bark For Life and CPS3 – a cancer prevention study. They will have free activities for the kids,  free handouts and a chance for you to win a basket of Relay swag.

Dublin in the Diamond
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Saturday 11 am to 8 pm
WHERE: Hagerstown Suns Stadium 274 E Memorial Blvd Hagerstown
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: Come and check out this all day Irish festival featuring music, food, crafts and competitions
COST: Tickets at the gate will be $7 for general admission and $40 for Benny’s Pub VIP Experiences (for 21 and older). Those ages 12 and younger will be free

Flower and Garden Show
WHEN and WHAT TIME: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, March 16; 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, March 17.
WHERE: Hagerstown Community College’s Athletic, Recreation and Community Center, off Robinwood Drive, east of Hagerstown.
WHAT YOU’LL SEE:  Show participants include experts in nurseries, lawn and garden equipment, pottery and statuary, landscaping, tree services, stone products, pools, spas, outdoor furniture, florists, wild bird products and natural gourmet gifts from the garden. Also seminars and demonstrations on a variety of gardening topics.. Proceeds benefit the HCC Alumni Association.
COST: $4; free for children younger than 12

Beverly Hillbillies
WHEN and WHAT TIME: 8 p.m. Saturday, March 16
WHERE: Highland View Academy auditorium, 10100 Academy Drive, Hagerstown.
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: Highland View Academy students will tell you a story about a man name Jeb  when they stage “Beverly Hillbillies.”  Highland View Academy seniors perform. Silent auction as well.,. Proceeds go toward senior mission trip.
COST: Tickets $12 for adults, $7 for children; free for those ages 3 and younger

Free Movie
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Saturday 7 pm
WHERE: Bridge of Life, 14 S Potomac St, Downtown Hagerstown
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: An animated movie featuring popular video game characters will be played. Free sodas and popcorn too
