Trains for Everyone
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Friday, Saturday and Sunday 1 to 5 pm
WHERE: Hagerstown Roundhouse Museum, 300 S Burhans Blvd Hagerstown.
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: Displays include HO scale model railroad, trains for kids to operate, historic railroad equipment, artifacts and photos
COST: Admission is $4;  50 cents for ages 4 to 12 and free for ages 3 and younger

Hagerstown Railroad Museum and Engine 202
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Friday and Saturday from 10 am to 4 pm
WHERE: City Park, 525 Highland Way, Hagerstown
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: Hagerstown Railroad Museum features an outstanding collection of railroad memorabilia to please enthusiasts of all ages. Steam Locomotive Engine 202 is the crown jewel in this wide-ranging collection
COST: No admission fee but donations accepted

The Crucible
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Friday at 8pm and Saturday at 1 pm
WHERE: Hagerstown Community College – Kepler Center –Black Box Theater (room 101) 11400 Robinwood Dr Hagerstown
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: Students in the “Elements of Dramatic Production” class will perform “The Crucible” Written by American playwright Arthur Miller, “The Crucible” is a dramatization of the Salem Witch Trials that was first performed in 1953.
COST: Free and open to the public

Reach the Finish Line Family Run
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Saturday 9 am
WHERE: Family Recreation Park, 21036 National Pike, Boonsboro
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: This inaugural event is a fundraiser for REACH of Washington County. They will have a half marathon, 10K, 5K and 1 mile walk/run. Run begins and ends at Family Recreation Park.

Rural Heritage Transportation Museum
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Saturday 11 am to 4 pm
WHERE: Washington County Rural Heritage Museum, 7313 Sharpsburg Pike, Boonsboro
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: The Washington County Rural Heritage Museum is proud to announce grand opening of the newly constructed Transportation Museum.  This building is expected to be a must see in Washington County, MD with special features during the grand opening.


New Exhibits:

For the first time anywhere, display of two surviving Hagerstown built Dagmar automobiles, two Pope Tribune automobiles, and the surviving Astor Taxi-Cab. Maugansville’s original 1928 Model AA Ford Fire Truck. Display of Maryland license plates through 1970. Full display of Hagerstown built Crawford bicycles. Replica of a typical rural repair garage. Very rare opportunity to see both surviving Dahlgren Carriages

Variety of buggies, sleighs and early automobiles


Activities for the day:

High wheel bikes in action (weather permitting); Barrel train rides for children (weather permitting); “Firing up the ‘T’”- demonstration on starting a Model-T ; “Retracting the Retractable”- demonstration on a retractable automobile top; 4-H Youth Development crafts for children

Other various speakers, demonstrators and features from11:00a.m.-4:00p.m.; There will be participation from three local antique car clubs with displays in museum and parking lot as well as participation from the Washington County Antique Tractor Club.

COST: There is no admission charge for the grand opening, but donations are appreciated to help fund the museums activities.
4th Legionary Corp at Fort Frederick State Park
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Saturday 10 am to 4 pm Sunday 10 am to 3 pm
WHERE: Fort Frederick State Park, 11100 Fort Frederick Rd, Big Pool
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: Join the recreated 4th Legionary Corp as they garrison the fort and demonstrate the life of Continental soldiers during the American War of Independence.
COST: Park entrance fees apply

WHEN and WHAT TIME: Sunday at 3 pm
WHERE: Maryland Theatre, 21 S Potomac St, Downtown Hagerstown
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: The Western Maryland City Ballet Company and the City Ballet School are proud to present childhood’s most beloved fairy tale through the magic of ballet. Indulge in Prokofiev’s compelling score, experience romance in motion and believe in dreams that come true. Horochowski’s choreography presents a romantic, witty, and innovative depiction of hope, endurance, kindness and the beauty of love at first sight. Complete with stunning costume design, theatrical magic and a cast of 75 dancers. Cinderella is sure to delight audiences of all ages.
