Trains for Everyone
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Friday, Saturday and Sunday 1 to 5 pm
WHERE: Hagerstown Roundhouse Museum, 300 S Burhans Blvd Hagerstown.
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: Displays include a Thomas the Tank Engine layout, HO scale model railroad, a McDonald’s train, a circus train and a trolley on a layout for kids to operate, historic railroad equipment, artifacts and photos
COST: Admission is $4;  50 cents for ages 4 to 12 and free for ages 3 and younger

Hagerstown Railroad Museum and Engine 202
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Friday and Saturday from 10 am to 4 pm
WHERE: City Park, 525 Highland Way, Hagerstown
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: Hagerstown Railroad Museum features an outstanding collection of railroad memorabilia to please enthusiasts of all ages. Steam Locomotive Engine 202 is the crown jewel in this wide-ranging collection

 Legally Blonde
WHEN and WHAT TIME: At 7:30 pm on Friday May 3rd   Last Show
WHERE: Maryland Theatre,  21 S Potomac St, downtown Hagerstown
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: Barbara Ingram School for the Arts will present “Legally Blonde” the story of Elle Wood’s. After her boyfriend dumps het to attend Harvard Law, she gets accepted to the school so she can get him back. Then she realizes her potential and sets out to prove herself to the world.
COST: Tickets are $8 to $25

Strawberry Festival
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Saturday 9 am to 3 pm
WHERE: Homewood at Williamsport, 16505 Virginia Ave, Williamsport – Please enter on the Governor Lane Boulevard side.
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: You can purchase strawberries in all forms – by the bag, sundaes, shortcake and pies. They will also have food, crafts, games for kids and free entertainment by Heavenly Harmony and Back Creek Valley Boys.
COST: Free
 
Doubleday Hill Cannons returned to their rightful place
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Saturday May 4, 2013 starting at 10:00 A.M
WHERE: Williamsport Town Hall
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: The Town of Williamsport, Maryland is happy to announce an event that goes along with the Town’s continued Civil War Preservation Project. The newly renovated Doubleday Hill cannons, which were refurbished and mounted onto replica cannon carriages, will be moved from their temporary storage in the basement of Town Hall and brought back to their historic location on Doubleday Hill overlooking the Potomac.

What makes this event unique is that the cannons will be hitched to local pull horses and moved by actual horsepower. This hasn’t happened for these cannons in close to 150 years! Three caissons were created to hitch the cannons to so they can correctly be pulled throughout town by Max and Linda Reed of Triple R Livery of Williamsport. The 8th MD Volunteer Infantry Company A, along with the 3rd Maryland Volunteer Infantry Company D, will be leading the cannons along their historic journey up and down the streets of Williamsport. The public is welcome to join the fun!

Western Maryland Rail Trail
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Saturday at 10 am
WHERE: C&O Bicycle Shop in Hancock
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: Learn about the flora and fauna along the Western Maryland Rail Trail during this guided bike tour which is about 22 miles round trip and is taken at a leisurely pace.
COST Free

Swingin In the Park
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Saturday 10:30 – 3 pm
WHERE: Doubs Woods Park in the Pavilion off Maryland Ave
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: Washington County Public School will present their 2013  outdoor jazz festival, featuring 9 middle and high schools. They suggest you bring a lawn chair or blanket
COST: Free and open to the public

Hagerstown BMX Dirt Dreams Series Race
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Saturday and Sunday
WHERE: Hagerstown Fairgrounds Park, 370 N. Cannon Ave., Hagerstown.
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: More than 200 competitors of all ages will compete for cash and prizes

On Saturday the event will start at 8 a.m. with a rider clinic by Derek Sipkol. Following the clinic riders of all ages will race, up to eight at a time. Sunday registration starts at 10 a.m., races start at 12:30 p.m.

COST: These events are Free for spectators.

Museum Ramble
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Saturday and Sunday
WHERE: 24 museums in Washington County
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: Hours vary by Museum and many will be open free of charge and will have special offerings.

Open Airplane Afternoon
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Sunday 1 to 4 pm
WHERE: Hagerstown Aviation Museum, 14235 Oak Springs Rd, Hagerstown
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: Museum aircraft will be open to the public.
COST: Free but donations are accepted

Bark For Life
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Sunday 2 to 4 pm
WHERE: Hagerstown Fairgrounds Park
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: Bark For Life is a fun-filled non-competitive dog walk fundraiser for the American Cancer Society. The event will take place this Sunday May 5th from 2 to 4 pm at the. And will include games, prizes, vendors and entertainment.
COST The registration fee is $20 for the first dog and $10 for each additional dog.  You can register your dog on site on Sunday
