WHEN and WHAT TIME: Friday, Saturday and Sunday 1 to 5 pm
WHERE: Hagerstown Roundhouse Museum, 300 S Burhans Blvd, Hagerstown
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: Come and check out the trains for kids to run, historical railroad equipment, artifacts and photos
COST: $5 adults, 50 cents ages 4 to 12 and free for ages 3 and younger

Spud Fest
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Saturday, Aug. 24 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m
WHERE: Washington County Rural Heritage Museum at Washington County Agricultural Education Center, 7313 Sharpsburg Pike, south of Hagerstown.
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: During Spudfest, potatoes will be harvested by horse-drawn plow and picked up by children for prizes. Other activities: Historic village buildings, machinery demonstrations, potato-themed lunch, children’s games and experiments, German four-square garden and artisan bread baking. Potato picking begins at 11 a.m..

Simple Transport 6 Show and Swap Meet
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Saturday from 8 am to 3pm
WHERE: Hagerstown Fairgrounds Park, 370 N Cannon Ave, Hagerstown.
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: Come and check out the Volkswagen vehicles at this air-cooled Volkswagen show and swap meet  They will also have vintage motorcycles and bicycles and the BMX track will be having an open house too.
COST Admission is $2 for spectators, free for ages 12 and younger. If you bring a car, entry fees are $10 per vehicle including driver; free entry for all vehicles using stock 6-volt electrical system; $10 vintage motorcycle pre-1985; $3 for bicycles; $15 for swap spaces and $15 for used car spaces.

Faire Off the Square

WHERE: Elizabeth Hager parking lot, North Potomac Street, downtown Hagerstown
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: Vendors will sell items
Navy Country Current
WHEN and WHAT TIME: 7 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 24,
WHERE: Shafer Park gazebo, 37 Park Drive, Boonsboro.
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: The U.S. Navy Country Current will play bluegrass and country music

Artillery Demos
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Saturday and Sunday
WHERE: Antietam National Battlefield, off Sharpsburg Pike, Sharpsburg.
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: Artillery firing demonstrations, 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 24; combined artillery  and infantry, 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 25. Infantry demonstration, 3 p.m. Saturday.
COST Entrance fee is $4 ages 16 and older; $6 per family.

World War II Living History
WHEN and WHAT TIME: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 24, and Sunday, Aug. 25.
WHERE: Springfield Farm, Springfield Lane, Williamsport
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: Talk to re-enactors portraying U.S. GI’s, German soldiers and women of the American Red Cross Clubmobile service, and visit the Town Museum. There will be a display of World War II weapons, field equipment and more. Part of Williamsport’s C&O Canal Days
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Saturday, August 24, 2013 – 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.- Gates open at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, August 25, 2013 – 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Gates open at 10:30 a.m.

C&O Canal Days
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Saturday, Aug. 24, and Sunday, Aug. 25.
WHERE: Activities take place at or near C&O Canal Cushwa Basin visitor center, 205 W. Potomac St., Williamsport, the Bryon Memorial Park and along Potomac and Concocheague Streets
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: C&O Canal National Historical Park  and the Town of Williamsport are celebrates C&O Canal heritage on Activities include: visitor center and trolley barn open; nature display at trolley barn; visits to Lock House 44; canal boat tours; and canal dress up and photo time in the trolley barn; “Meet the Mules” on Saturday; canal music by Matthew Dodd on Sunday; and canal family reunion at the trolley barn on Sunday.

French and Indian War Muster
WHEN and WHAT TIME: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 24; 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 25.
WHERE: Fort Frederick, 11100 Fort Frederick Road , Big Pool
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: French, British and American Indian re-enactors will assemble for a weekend of 18th century living history demonstrations and battle re-enactment

Model Boat Regatta
WHEN and WHAT TIME: 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 25. Racing at 11 a.m.;
WHERE: City Park lake, off Virginia Avenue, Hagerstown
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: The American Model Yacht Club will hold a model boat regatta from then the public can try controlling the large models. Children’s wooden model boat workshop at noon..

Everybody Day at Pen Mar
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Sunday, Aug. 25 noon to 5 pm
WHERE: Pen Mar Park, off Pen Mar High Rock Road, near Cascade
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: The Ray Birely Orchestra will provide music for ballroom dancing during Everybody’s Day on. Jitterbug contest at 2:30 p.m.; waltz contest at 2:45 p.m.

WEEK DAY Fun – Fort Frederick Demos for Kids

WHAT YOU’LL SEE: Fort Frederick presents activities from the daily life of French and Indian War Soldiers, such as flag raising and lowering ceremonies and musket firing practice. Special drills for children
