Trains
WHEN   and WHAT TIME: Friday,   Saturday and Sunday 1 to 5 pm
WHERE: Hagerstown   Roundhouse Museum, 300 S Burhans Blvd, Hagerstown
WHAT   YOU’LL SEE: Come and check   out the trains for kids to run, historical railroad equipment, artifacts and   photos
COST: $5 adults, 50   cents ages 4 to 12 and free for ages 3 and younger

Corn   Maze
WHEN   and WHAT TIME: Opens   Saturday August 31 They will be open weekends in September and October Hours:   Fridays 5-10 pm / Saturdays Noon-10 pm / Sundays Noon-5 pm with a Special   hours on Labor day September 2, 2013    Noon to 6 pm
WHERE: Celebration Farm, 17638 Garden View Road, Hagerstown
WHAT   YOU’LL SEE: The Hagerstown Corn Maze reopens this   Saturday, August 31st with 3 mazes to choose from this year. Guests may   complete all or just one of the mazes for the same price. All proceeds go to   local faith-based non profits.
COST Admission is $6 for ages 13 and up; $3 for   ages 5 to 12 and free for children 4 and under.

Misty Meadow’s Corn Maze and Pumpkin Patch
WHEN   and WHAT TIME: Open Monday- Saturday 10 am – 6 pm, Sunday   1 – 6 pm.
WHERE: Misty Meadow Farm Creamery, 14325 Misty   Meadows Rd , Smithsburg
WHAT   YOU’LL SEE: From now until November 3rd, you need to   come and check out the 8 acre corn maze with educational questions and   activities, rope mazes, duck race, corn box, pedal tractors, play area,   weekend hayrides, and more.

Down on the   Farm Petting Zoo
WHEN   and WHAT TIME: Saturdays   and Sundays though Nov 2 from 1 to 4 pm

WHAT   YOU’LL SEE: Petting Zoo, corn   maze, hayride, pumpkins and corn stalks will be for sale. Come check out all   the family fun

Clear Spring   Fall Festival
WHEN   and WHAT TIME: Saturday  9 am
WHERE: Clear Spring Outdoor Agricultural and   Environmental Center behind Plumb Gove Mansion at 12654 Broadfording Rd,   Clear Spring
WHAT   YOU’LL SEE: Festival includes classic car and antique   tractor show, apple butter and scarecrows making, turkey calling contest,   crosscut saw demonstrations, hay rides and more. Vendors will have kettle   corn. Ice cream, pumpkins, ornamental corn and stalks

Drive in   Movies
WHEN   and WHAT TIME: Friday- Sunday Thru Sunday, October 6th – 6 pm   gates open, 7:15 pm first movie
WHERE: Leitersburg Cinemas, Leitersburg Pike
WHAT   YOU’LL SEE: Drive in movie features Monster University   and World War Z Snacks will be sold. No outside food or drink.
COST $8 for adults, $4 for ages 12 and younger;   VIP recliners $12 first come first serve

Family Field   Day
WHEN   and WHAT TIME: Saturday   9 to Noon
WHERE: Robinwood Professional Center, 11110   Medical Campus Dr., Hagerstown, MD 21742
WHAT   YOU’LL SEE: Inflatable obstacle course, fitness   demonstration, children’s safety area with helicopter, fire truck and   ambulance tours, jump rope station, sack races and more active family fun.   They will also have a mini pumpkin dash for children 12 and under with free   pumpkins while supplies last.

Harvest   Hoedown
WHEN   and WHAT TIME: Saturday   9 am to 2 pm
WHERE: Bryon Memorial Park Williamsport
WHAT   YOU’LL SEE: Come out and support the local food bank –   scarecrow making, vendors, food available to purchase and more – please bring   a donation for the food bank

Grand Opening of the Washington County   Library Downtown
WHEN Saturday afternoon, October 5 at 1 pm
WHERE: Washington County Free Library located at   100 South Potomac Street in Hagerstown
WHAT   YOU’LL SEE: The Board of Trustees and the library staff   invite you to be a part of this special day. Ribbon cutting and grand opening   activities begin at 1:00 PM. So mark your calendar and plan to come on out   and help us celebrate.

Duke’s University Lemurs Center
WHEN   and WHAT TIME: Saturday , 1 pm
WHERE: Discovery Station, 101 W. Washington St., Hagerstown,   MD 21740
WHAT   YOU’LL SEE: This week’s special program is a glimpse of   the Duke University Lemurs Center

Pen Mar   Concert Series
WHEN   and WHAT TIME: Sunday,   2 to 5 pm
WHERE: Pen Mar Park, off Pen Mar High Rock Road,   near Cascade
WHAT   YOU’LL SEE: The Bill Krantz Combo will provide music   for ballroom dancing

Showcase of   Marching Bands
WHEN   and WHAT TIME: Tuesday, October 8, 2013, at 7 p.m
WHERE: South Hagerstown High School
WHAT   YOU’LL SEE: Washington County Public Schools (WCPS)   presents the 37th Annual Showcase of Marching Bands. The Williamsport High   School “Blue” Band will serve as the host band and will be joined by the   marching bands from Boonsboro, Clear Spring, North Hagerstown, Smithsburg and   South Hagerstown high schools. Each band will present an individual   performance, followed by a selection performed by a mass band under the baton   of Williamsport High School band director Jonathan Beattie. Gates open at 6   p.m. The rain date is Tuesday, October 15, 2013.
COST Tickets cost $4 in advance and can be   purchased from the band directors and participating students at each high   school. Tickets will also be sold at the gate on the night of the showcase   for $5. WCPS senior citizen Gold Cards will be honored.
   
 
Sharpsburg   Ghost Tour
WHEN   and WHAT TIME: Wednesday   thur Saturday  6:30 pm
WHERE: Starts at Town Square, Sharpsburg
WHAT   YOU’LL SEE: Ninety minute walking tour of Sharpsburg   with a guide in period tour costume
COST There is a cost and advance reservations   are required
