WHAT   YOU’LL SEE: Come and check   out the trains for kids to run, historical railroad equipment, artifacts and   photos
COST: $5 adults, 50   cents ages 4 to 12 and free for ages 3 and younger

Corn   Maze
WHEN   and WHAT TIME: Opens   Saturday August 31 They will be open weekends in September and October Hours:   Fridays 5-10 pm / Saturdays Noon-10 pm / Sundays Noon-5 pm with a Special   hours on Labor day September 2, 2013    Noon to 6 pm
WHERE: Celebration Farm, 17638 Garden View Road, Hagerstown
WHAT   YOU’LL SEE: The Hagerstown Corn Maze reopens this   Saturday, August 31st with 3 mazes to choose from this year. Guests may   complete all or just one of the mazes for the same price. All proceeds go to   local faith-based non profits.
COST Admission is $6 for ages 13 and up; $3 for   ages 5 to 12 and free for children 4 and under.

Misty Meadow’s Corn Maze and Pumpkin Patch
WHEN   and WHAT TIME: Open Monday- Saturday 10 am – 6 pm, Sunday   1 – 6 pm.
WHERE: Misty Meadow Farm Creamery, 14325 Misty   Meadows Rd , Smithsburg
WHAT   YOU’LL SEE: From now until November 3rd, you need to   come and check out the 8 acre corn maze with educational questions and   activities, rope mazes, duck race, corn box, pedal tractors, play area,   weekend hayrides, and more.

Down on the   Farm Petting Zoo

WHEN   and WHAT TIME: Saturday, Oct. 12 8 to 9 p.m
WHERE: City Park band shell, Virginia Avenue,   Hagerstown.
WHAT   YOU’LL SEE: Colombia musician Diego Leon plays   electronic “space music” on keyboard. Ages 12 and older

Harvest   Hoedown
WHEN   and WHAT TIME: 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12
WHERE: Fairgrounds Park, 351 N. Cleveland Ave.,   Hagerstown.
WHAT   YOU’LL SEE: The first 1,000 children ages 12 and   younger will receive a free apple or pumpkin. Scarecrow making, shown,   pumpkin painting, balloon giveaways, hay rides, barrel rides, petting zoo,   entertainment by Country Showcase of America Jamboree, and local dance,   cheerleading, majorette and karate groups. Vendors will have fees for items.

World War II Weekend
WHEN   and WHAT TIME: Friday,   Saturday and Sunday
WHERE: Springfield Farm Barn and surrounding area
WHAT   YOU’LL SEE: Williamsport is flashing back this weekend   70 years to 1943 as they remember World War II and the way the world was.

This is an overview of scheduled events.

Friday October 11 7 pm Free Movie in “Port   Theater” Springfield Barn

Saturday, October 12
9-5 Grounds open to public
11 am parade
12 to 2 pm guest speakers and demonstrations
2 pm 1940’s fashion show in Springfield Barn
4 -4:20 pm Abbott and Costello in Springfield Barn
7 pm USO Dance with Jump Alley  $5   admission fee for public

Sunday October 13
9-4 Grounds open to public
10 am Church service at Springfield Farm Barn
12- 12:20 pm  Abbott and Costello in   Springfield Farm Barn
11 am to 1 pm Guest speakers and unit demonstrations
1 pm Weapons Demonstration
3 pm Williamsport Town Band “Salute to the Veterans” in Springfield Farm   Barn.

Fall Festival at Reynold’s Farm Pumpkin   Patch
WHEN   and WHAT TIME: Saturday October 12 from 10 am to 6 pm and Sunday,   October 13th from noon to 6 pm
WHERE: Reynolds Farm Pumpkin Patch 11129 Gehr   Road, Waynesboro
WHAT   YOU’LL SEE: I know I usually limit my events to   Washington County but I am involved in this one and Reynold’s Farm is a very   cool place.

Reynolds’ Farm Pumpkin Patch and Relay For   Life of Greencastle and Washington County are teaming up for a special Fall   Festival this year on.

Special activities for just this weekend. Make   your own scarecrow—$5

Purchase your pumpkin— during this event   only— Reynolds Farm will donate 1 cent per pound for every regular pumpkin   they sell. Additionally, they have PINK pumpkins for sale and they will   donate 15 cents per pound  for just the   Pink Pumpkins for the entire season. And then you can paint the pumpkins you   purchased for just $2 per pumpkin We even have a Drying area to store your   pumpkin while it dries and you enjoy the rest of the farm.

Williamsport   Haunted Walks
WHEN   and WHAT TIME: Mondays,   Wednesdays and Fridays 7 to 9 pm
WHERE: Meet at Town Hall in Williamsport
WHAT   YOU’LL SEE: Explore the Haunted History and paranormal   happenings in Williamsport weather permitting
COST $5 per person – free for ages 8 and   younger. Children must be accompanied by a paying adult

Sharpsburg   Ghost Tour
WHEN   and WHAT TIME: Wednesday   6:30 pm
WHERE: Starts at Town Square, Sharpsburg
