AAUW Used Book Sale
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Friday, April 4th 9 a.m. – 7 p.m.; Saturday, April 5th (Half price day), 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
WHERE: The Arc of Washington County, 1000 Florida Avenue, Hagerstown;
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: One of the best used books sales around – with over 25,000 books, tapes, DVD’s, VCR’s, CD’s in many categories at reasonable prices.

The Wizard of Oz (R.S.C.)
WHEN and WHAT TIME: April 4, 5 & 6 Show times are 7:30 pm on Friday and Saturday nights. Sunday show times are 2:30 pm.
WHERE: Maryland Theatre, 21 S. Potomac St., Hagerstown, MD
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: To commemorate the 75th Anniversary of the MGM Motion picture, the Barbara Ingram School for the Arts staff is very excited to stage this story for all ages as their All School Musical this year. The R.S.C. version of the Wizard of Oz is more technically complex than earlier stage versions and it uses as much of the aura of the film as is possible to create a fantasy world as seen through Dorothy’s eyes.

Doleman Black Heritage Museum Exhibit
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Opening is Saturday April 5th 1 to 3 pm. The exhibit will run April and May by appointment, Wednesday thru Friday 1-4 pm
WHERE: Miller House, 135 W. Washington Street, Hagerstown, MD.
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: The Washington County Historical Society will present a guest exhibition from the Doleman Black Heritage Museum featuring a collection of items augmented by items of the Historical Society including a slave quilt, clothing, toys and slave documents.
COST $8 for adults, $5 for Senior Citizens (60+) and Students Under 16, Members and partners are free.

Public Ice Skating
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Friday from 7 to 8:50 pm; Saturday, from 3 to 4:50 pm, Sunday from 2:30 to 3:50 and Monday from noon to 1:50 pm.
WHERE: Hagerstown Ice and Sports Complex, 580 Security Rd, Hagerstown
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: Come and check out ice skating
COST Admission is $6 a person and includes skate rental – socks are required.

“42nd Street”
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Friday, April 4th and Saturday, April 5th at 7:30 pm and Saturday, April 5th at 2 pm.
WHERE: Williamsport High School Auditorium, 5 S Clifton Drive in Williamsport
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: Williamsport High School will present “42nd Street” Concession will be sold at intermission.
COST Tickets are $10 for adults and $7 for students and seniors.

Youth Fishing Derby
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Saturday, April 5th 8am – 12pm
WHERE: Fort Frederick State Park, 11100 Fort Frederick Rd, Big Pool, MD 21711.
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: Fish from a stocked pond, learn pointers from staff and enjoy a Spring day. No registration required. Open to kids 5-15 years old with an adult.
COST Park Admission $3/MD vehicle; $5/Out of state vehicle.

Saturday Plus at   Discovery Station
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Saturday, March 29at 11 am
WHERE: Discovery Station, 101 W Washington St Downtown Hagerstown
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: Nancy Hellane, historian author, presents her book “Memories in Ink–Edgemont–A Country Hamlet.” Book signing, 11 am.

Spring Open House
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Saturday and Sunday April 5 and 6th 10 am to 4 pm
WHERE: Washington County Rural Heritage Museum (RHM), Agricultural Education Center, 7313 Sharpsburg Pike, Boonsboro, MD 21713.
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: One-of-a-kind display of transportation implements spotlighting the rural heritage of our region. See rare locally built automobile and bicycle exhibits, visit all museum buildings and village with guided tours and demonstrations, see an array of vehicles at the first-ever Antique Truck Show. Saturday- learn valuable information from the Master Gardeners with garden tours and children may participate in 4-H Youth Development crafts and activities.
Getting Down and Dirty Expo
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Saturday, April 5 10 am to 9 pm and Sunday April 6, 11 am to 6 pm
WHERE: Valley Mall, Hagerstown
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: Come and check out all the different vendors for your outdoor fun this summer

Public Star Party
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Saturday, April 5th 730 to 11 pm
WHERE: Antietam National Battlefield Visitor Center, 5831 Dunker Church Rd, Sharpsburg
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: Tri-State Astronomers will set up telescopes for public viewing and there will be laser-guided sky tours and a kid friendly hands-on “kidzone”
