WHEN and WHAT TIME: August 30 – October 26th – Fridays 5 – 10 pm; Saturdays Noon to 10 pm and Sundays Noon to 5 pm – special hours Labor Day Noon to 6 pm

Haunted tours and ghost walk
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Friday, October 10, Saturday October 11, and Sunday October 12th 7, 8 and 9pm Friday, October 17, Saturday October 18, and Sunday October 19th 7, 8 and 9pm

WHAT YOU’LL SEE: Be prepare to be scared!

Dance Competition for Teens
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Friday October 10th 7 to 830 pm
WHERE: Valley Mall
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: Teens ages 14 to 19 can audition for the 5th annual Just Dance Competition sponsored by Teens Have Choice and Teens Department of Fletcher Library. Top qualifying contestants will complete in the finals at 7 pm on October 24th

“The Legend of the Black Oak Pedlar”
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Friday October 10th at 7 pm
WHERE: Performing Arts Center, 126 W High St Hancock
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: Come here the story of a 1920’s pedlar traveling the roads of Hancock to Bedford PA and the last ride

Fall Festival at Reynold’s Farm Pumpkin Patch
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Saturday October 11 from 10 am to 6 pm and Sunday, October 12th from noon to 6 pm.
WHERE: Reynolds Farm Pumpkin Patch 11129 Gehr Road, Waynesboro
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: I know I usually limit my events to Washington County but I am involved in this one and Reynold’s Farm is a very cool place.

Reynolds’ Farm Pumpkin Patch and Relay For Life of Washington County are teaming up for a special Fall Festival . Special activities for just this weekend

Make your own scarecrow—$5; Purchase your pumpkin— during this event only— Reynolds Farm will donate 1 cent per pound for every regular pumpkin they sell. ; Additionally, they have PINK pumpkins for sale and they will donate 15 cents per pound for just the Pink Pumpkins for the entire season. And then you can paint the pumpkins you purchased for just $2 per pumpkin. We even have a Drying area to store your pumpkin while it dries and you enjoy the rest of the farm.

And while you are there be sure to check out: The mums and other fall goodies And the Fun Zone … for just $6 per person you can check out the petting zoo with the special goat feeding area; Play on the Noah’s Ark or in the new castle; Take a turn on the swings or go down the mountain slide; Jump in the straw bounce or climb on straw mountain; Take a hayride and try your hand at the Grass Maze or the 8 acre Corn Maze. And so much more

Williamsport World War II Weekend
WHEN and WHAT TIME: October 10-12th
WHERE: Springfield Farm Barn
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: Highlights include a free showing of Alfred Hitchcock’s “Lifeboat” in the barn at 7 pm on Friday; Saturday at 9 am grounds will be open to the public for talks, unit demonstrations, battle re-enactment, and fashion show. Grounds close at 5 pm. 7 to 10 pm on Saturday –there will be a USO dance with Jump Alley in Springfield Farm Barn – $10 per person or $15 per couple. Sunday at 9 am – the ground open to public with church service at Springfield Farm Barn at 10am l guest speakers and unit demonstrations, battle re-enactment, Williamsport Community Town Band will perform at 3 pm – with the ground closing to the public at 4 pm

Open house and Fun Day
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Saturday October 11 10 am to 3 pm
WHERE: Funkstown Volunteer Fire Company, 2 S Westside Ave Funkstown
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: Come for the open house fun day for all ages, fire engines new and old on display, fire hose spray challenge, ladder climb, inflatable, smoke house, Life-Net helicopter, free hot dogs and drinks

Special Program at Discovery Station
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Saturday 10/11 at 11 am
WHERE: Discovery Station, 101 W. Washington Street, Hagerstown, MD
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: Christy Shields, HMTV6, meteorologist, will present “Fall Changes in Weather…Why?”

Latin American Cuisine Festival
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Saturday October 11th noon t o 3 pm
WHERE: Fletcher’s Library, 100 S Potomac St, Downtown Hagerstown Room 309
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: Rice and beans “Costa Rica Style” for the first 100 people attending this event. Non alcoholic Mojitos, apples, mango, and passion fruit martinis, plus gourmet Latin food for purchase including food from Peru, Guatemala, Mexico, Colombia, Argentina, Brazil, Venezuela, Puerto Rico and more. Harvest Hoedown

WHAT YOU’LL SEE: For ages 8 and older – Experiment with electricity. Space is limited and advance registration is required.

Sharpsburg Ghost Tours
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Thursday through Thursday October 30 and by appointment 7 pm
WHERE: Meet at the Marketplace of Sharpsburg 104 n Church St, Sharpsburg
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: Meredith Moore Poffenberger will lead tours, talk about her own experiences and share stories told to her by townspeople
