WHEN and WHAT TIME: Friday October 24th Hayride tour 7,8, and 9 pm Walking tour 7 and 8 pm

Teen Dance Competition Finals
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Friday October 24th 7 pm
WHERE: Center Court of the Valley Mall
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: The top qualifying contestants from the Teens Have Choices and teen department at Fletcher Library will compete in the finals. Local dance groups will also perform.

Free Family Movie
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Saturday October 25th 11:30 am
WHERE: Boonsboro Library, 401 Potomac St Hagerstown
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: “Legends of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga’hoole” PG will be shown

Howl-o-ween Dog Costume parade
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Saturday, October 24th from noon to 2 p.m
WHERE: Dog Park at Fairgrounds Park, 351 N. Cleveland Ave., Hagerstown
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: Dog owners are invited to dress up their canine companion and come out for this special parade. All dogs must be in costume and be leashed to participate. Adults must accompany any child who is presenting a dog. All dogs must be up-to-date on vaccinations. This is a Rain or shine event.
COST Cost is $7, one dog and one owner at the event.

Community Trunk or Treat
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Saturday October 25th 2 pm
WHERE: Brownsville Church of the Brethren, 1911 Rohrersville Rd Knoxville
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: Children are invited to go in costume from car to car for treats. There will also be a chili cookoff 2 pm for trunk or treat 2:30 pm for snacks, awards and chili cookoff

Mummers Parade
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Saturday, October 25th starting at 6 pm.
WHERE: The parade route runs from North Potomac (at the point where Oak Hill ends) to South Potomac just after the railroad tracks at the south corner of Rose Hill Cemetery.
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: Free seating is also available on the parade route – first come first serve .
COST Bleacher seating is available at Bester Elementary School. Tickets are $8 for chair and $5 for bleachers and all proceeds benefit the Alsatia Club for their programs.

Astronomy Program
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Saturday October 25th 9 to 11 pm
WHERE: Fort Frederick State Park, 11100 Fort Frederick Rd, Big Pool
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: Learn the basics of sky navigation and telescope use while looking through a 10” Dobsonian reflecting telescope.
COST $3 per car for instate and $5 for out of state cars

Program of praise and music
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Sunday, October 26th 4 pm
WHERE: Manor Church of the Brethren, 18511 Manor Church Rd, Boonsboro
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: The program includes Christian ballads, contemporary Christian and singing by the Bittersweet Gospel Band
COST Freewill offering will be taken
 
Trunk or Treat
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Sunday October 26th from 6 to 8 pm
WHERE: Hagerstown Church of the Nazarene, 141 N Edgewood Drive, east of Hagerstown.
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: This event is free and open to the public and they will have trunks filled with candy and free food for the children who come in costume to Trunk or Treat.

Williamsport Haunted Walking tours
WHEN and WHAT TIME: 7 and 9 p.m. Continue Thursdays and Saturdays through Thursday, Oct. 30; also Fridays at 9 p.m
WHERE: Meet at the Desert Rose Café, 42 N. Conococheague St., Williamsport.
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: Those younger than 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

Leaders of the walks through Williamsport will share tales about the town’s history and ghost stories. The last stop on the tour is Town Hall, where participants will learn about ghost-hunting equipment and do a ghost hunt in the building.

Participants are encouraged to bring their own recording devices and flashlights.

Hosted by the River Rat Paranormal Society.

Sharpsburg Ghost Tours
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Thursday through Thursday October 30 and by appointment 7 pm
WHERE: Meet at the Marketplace of Sharpsburg 104 n Church St, Sharpsburg
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: Meredith Moore Poffenberger will lead tours, talk about her own experiences and share stories told to her by townspeople
