Trains of Christmas
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Friday, Saturdays and Sunday 1 to 5 pm
WHERE: Hagerstown Railroad Museum, 300 S Burhans Blvd Hagerstown
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: Enjoy the visions, sounds and snows of Christmas, past and present, on an “O” gauge railroad featuring the trains of Lionel, MTH, Williams, Weaver and others. Also trains for kids to run, HO and O scale model railroads

German Christmas
WHEN and WHAT TIME: 10 am to 4 pm Friday December 12th, Saturday, December 13th and then noon to 4 pm on Sundays December 14th
WHERE: Hager House
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: The Hager House will kick off their annual German Christmas celebration
COST Admission is $3, $2 for seniors ages 62 and older and students age 13 to 17, $1 for ages 6 to 12 and free for ages 5 and younger

Ringgold Country Christmas
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Fri Dec 12th, Sat Dec 13th and Sun Dec 14th activities at 6 pm and Worship at 7 pm
WHERE: Historic Ringgold Meeting House, 14426 Misty Meadows Rd, Smithsburg
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: Dress warmly and come enjoy the living Nativity Scene, carolers, roasted chestnut, wagon rides, cookies, hot chocolate and cider plus more. Sponsored by Ringgold Church of Christ.

Funkstown Old Tyme Christmas
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Friday December 12th from 6 to 830 pm
WHERE: town of Funkstown
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: With candle light and Christmas spirit. With a Yule log bonfire, living nativity and live sheep in the park; 6 30 pm piano recital, 630 pm E Russell Hicks band performs, 7 pm Santa at Town Hall. Face painting and other activities as well.

 

CHRISTMAS IN THE PARK -See the Yule log fire, have some popcorn, S’mores and cook some hot dogs with the scouts. Visit the living nativity with the sheep. The wagon ride will be making a stop to let passengers out to see the festivities and return to town hall later. The Scouts are right at home celebrating Christmas in the park and they invite you to join them. The Funkstown Boy Scout Troop 23 will be encamped in the park for the night as well as singing carols around town and helping where they are needed.

 

ANTIQUE AND CRAFT SHOPS. This is also an excellent chance to get a jump on that last minute Christmas shopping, with most of the shops in town staying open throughout the evening to help you with those hard to find surprises. Don’t forget to look for the new shops in town, and visit the dinner that will be held in the lower level of the fire hall again this year.

 

ST PAUL’S CHURCH  The annual multi-vendor craft fair will be held in the fellowship hall instead of at the fire hall. The church will also be open with a variety of seasonal music in the sanctuary.

 

WAGON RIDES First wagon ride leaves at 6:30 and the last ride will be leaving at 8:30. Stops In front of town hall and Funkstown Park so that you may disembark and enjoy the festivities there. Rides are limited to 20 people each

Charlie Brown Christmas 2014
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Open Saturdays December  13 and Sunday December 14 from 3 to 8 pm
WHERE: Springfield Farm Barn, Williamsport
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: Come and check out more than 100 decorated trees filling the Barn on Springfield Farm with several surprises in the branches..  Be sure to check out the lights in the park as well
COST Admission is free.
 
Christmas PJ Party at Discovery Station
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Saturday, Dec 13 – 2 to 3 pm –
WHERE: Discovery Station, 101 W Washington  St Hagerstown
WHAT YOU’LL SEE:  Children of all ages can participate in a scavenger hunt, goodies and Santa. Children must be dressed in appropriate and warm clothing..

 

COST Free with museum admission fee $5 to $7. Registration is required and space is limited

Kids Christmas in Downtown Hagerstown
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Saturday Dec 13th – 8 am to 2 pm
WHERE: Downtown Hagerstown
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: – Children are invited to come with their families to enjoy different free events at select locations with the Frostburg State University Elves. Activities include cookie decorating, craft making, store time, face painting and Elf Olympics.

Christmas Market
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Sat Dec 13th – 10 am to 4pm
WHERE: Bridge of Life Church, 6 S Potomac St, Downtown Hagerstown
WHAT YOU’LL SEE:  Hagerstown Area Police Athletic League Artisan Christmas Market
COST Free
 
Christmas Craft Show
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Sat Dec 13th – 9 am to 3 pm
WHERE: Fort  Ritchie Community Center, 14421 Lake Royer Dr Cascade
WHAT YOU’LL SEE:  more than 60 vendors, face painting , sand art, Santa will be there for pictures from 10 am to noon.
COST free admission

Free Movie
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Saturday Dec 13th – 3 pm
WHERE: Hancock Library- 100 S Potomac St Hancock
WHAT YOU’LL SEE:  They will show the movie “Maleficent” Rated PG –

Christmas in Clear Spring
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Saturday, December 13th
WHERE: Various locations in Clear Spring
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: From 530 to 830 pm, there will be a live nativity at St John’s, antique toy display at Town Hall and Clear Spring Hardware, model trains at St Andrew’s social hall,  youth craft activity at the Clear Spring Library. Music will be performed at various locations in Clear Spring. For more information call 301-842-3789.

 

The Plumb Grove Mansion Candlelight will also run from 2 to 11 pm. The house, slave quarters and summer kitchen will be decorated. Admission is $5 a person. Plumb Grove Mansion is located at 12654 Broadfording Rd, Clear Spring.

 

The Brown Meeting house at 11 S Mill St, Clear Spring will be home from 2 to 9 pm to tour- This two-story log structure was built in 1825 and features exhibits related to the history of Clear Spring. Free admission

 

The Hovermale Home, 145 Cumberland St, Clear Spring will be open to tour as well. Free admission and hosted by Carol and Teddy Hovermale.

Rest Haven Christmas Concert and Festival of Lights
WHEN and WHAT TIME:  Saturday, December 13th
WHERE: Rest Haven, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave, Hagerstown
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: Chapel open from 2 to 10 pm; Appalachian Winds will perform at 3 pm Following the concert more than 10,000 luminaries will be lit and blanket the cemetery.

Festival of Wreaths and Luminaries Remembrance Display
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Sat Dec 13th 3 to 7 pm
WHERE: Fahrney-Keedy Home and Village 8507 Mapleville Rd Boonsboro
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: Festival of wreaths and a luminaries remembrance display –– Wreath display and bake sale from 3 to 530 pm Luminaries display begins at 5 pm

Antietam National Battlefield Memorial Illumination
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Saturday, December 13th – 6 pm
WHERE: Antietam Battlefield off Sharpsburg Pike
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: enter off the Rt 34 side – Volunteers will place and light more than 23,000 candles on the battlefield, each representing a casualty from the bloodiest single day battle in American history.

Home For the Holidays Concert
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Sat Dec 13th 7 pm and Sunday Dec 14th at 3 pm
WHERE: Maryland Theater, 21 S Potomac St Downtown Hagerstown
WHAT YOU’LL SEE:  this year’s guests will be Colleen Daley, soprano, Rob Tudor, baritone, Hagerstown Choral Arts and Barbara Ingram School for the Arts Concert Choir. St Nick will lead a yuletide sign-along.

“A Christmas Prayer”
WHEN and WHAT TIME: Sunday Dec 14th – 7 pm
WHERE: Maranatha Brethren Church, 19835 Scott Hill Dr Hagerstown –
WHAT YOU’LL SEE: “A Christmas Prayer” Interactive choir and drama performance.

Williamsport Community Band Concert
