7 am – Broadfording Christian Academy, 13535 Broadfording Church Rd, Hagerstown. Free Admission $10 car cruise-in registration fee. Food, cars, vendors, crafters, music, yard sale, barrel train, face painting, pumpkin carving, painting, games, silent auction, pony rides, photo booth and more.

October 3- HCC Cruz In

10 am to 2 pm – Hagerstown Community College, 11400 Robinwood Dr, East of Hagerstown. $10 donation per entry. Awards announced at 2 pm. The first 100 entries will receive dash plaques. All vehicles must be driven, not on trailers. No pets, alcohol, or burnouts allowed on campus. All proceeds will go to the HCC Intern Scholarship Fund. October 3 –Star Equestrian Center and Therapeutic Farm Open House

10 am to 4 pm – Star Equestrian Center and Therapeutic Farm, 13757 Broadfording Church Rd, Hagerstown. The open house will include wagon rides to and from Star Community’s Pond, visits to the new sensory walking trail, hay bale maze, old time games, Parelli and Lyons trainers doing workshops, and veterinarians and farrier workshops. Activities include cross-cut saw demonstrations at 10 am and 2 pm; draft house demonstrations at 10:30 and 2:30 pm pedal tractor pulls at 11 am and 1 pm; turkey calling at 130 pm; cider press at 9 am and hourly; live music from 11 am to 4 pm; the day also will include apple butter making, pumpkin decorating, scarecrow making and more. 10 am to 4 pm Bryon Memorial Park, Park Rd, Williamsport. Admission is free and proceeds benefit Williamsport Food Bank. Events include food, music, children’s activities, silent auction, vendors, make your own scarecrow and a square dancing demonstration.

October 3 – Wings & Wheels Expo 2015

October 3 Monarch Butterfly education program

11:30 am to 2:30 pm- Kiwanis Park, near Imperial Drive, east of Eastern Blvd, Hagerstown. Free. After ribbon cutting ceremony to open the park. Family friendly event. Homeowners will learn information about steps they can take to help attract and sustain monarch butterflies, which are in decline. The University of Maryland Extension Master Gardeners of Washington County will share information on protecting monarchs and other pollinators. October 3 & 4- 124th NY Infantry Weekend

Antietam National Battlefield, 5831 Dunker Church Rd, Sharpsburg. Park entrance fee $5 per person or $10 per family. Living history volunteers will portray the 124th New York Infantry, re-creating the life of a Civil War solider.
